The “Celebration of Ethical Leadership” is a combined effort that stems from BBB’s annual “Excellence in Ethics” and Fresno State’s “Ethical Leadership”, which is a true representation and a grand celebration of ethics in our local community.

Better Business Bureau’s mission and vision is advancing ethics and trust in the marketplace, and for years BBB has been promoting ethics by awarding businesses that demonstrate an outstanding level of ethics and integrity in all of their business dealings with “Excellence in Ethics” award.

For the past two years, Fresno State’s The Ethics Center and the Lyles Center have been working together to support reflection on ethics and to encourage ethical behavior in students, while hoping to have a positive impact the larger community. Last year, the "Ethical Leadership" award was created as part of this effort where Richard Johanson, founder of Johanson Transportation, was recognized for his ethical leadership in the community.

The alliance between The Ethics Center, the Lyles Center, and the BBB is an opportunity to not only recognize and celebrate ethical leadership, but also bring the message of ethics to the community on a much larger scale.
